Chicago USA: Students at James B McPherson Elementary School in Chicago showcased their WOW! local research projects. Students completed their 15-week WOW! research projects, brainstorming and framing local area research topics, key questions, hypotheses, and putting their research methodologies into action. Students maintained their research logs in the mme moe app and drafted and revised their research findings and artefacts as Yahki digital mashups and blogs they were able to share with peers and use in support of their local community presentations.

The WOW! program is designed to create more meaningful, memorable and rigorous learning experiences for students in the middle years, at the same time providing important professional learning support for teachers. WOW! is ideal for IB schools and any other school seeking to develop scalable Project Based Learning, student agency and metacognition. Ultimately, WOW! helps students in learning to learn. WOW! integrates STEM, digital literacy and critical literacy. It represents the future of learning in a digital world.
