World Mosaic’s Chicago education team ran teacher professional learning sessions for teachers and principals across Chicago schools, unpacking the connection between cognitive development and literacy development. Participants looked below the surface into the cognitive domain, realizing academic literacy approaches are only the tip of the iceberg. The sessions developed blended learning strategies spanning cognitive development, literacy genres, gamified instruction, and praxis approaches to writing, reading, speaking and listening.

Mosaic held workshops with Denver-based Dr Ron Cole to assess the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies for reading assessments, turning traditional one-off assessments into formative assessment to develop students’ decoding and reading comprehension abilities.
